Hamish Finlayson

Hamish is the Founding Director of the Consultancy, and is both a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has gained a wealth of experience in the Industry over the past 30 years, and has been involved at a senior level within both Main Contractor and Consultancy organisations.

Hamish has worked internationally and throughout the UK Construction Industry, and more recently has been involved with supporting construction projects throughout Europe.

Through his career, Hamish has been employed by organisations including Davis Langdon & Everest, James R Knowles, Tarmac and Wates, and has first-hand experience in delivering challenging projects across a variety of sectors of the Construction Industry including, Major Construction, Rail, Commercial Fit-Out and Retail.

Over recent years, Hamish has been engaged at a senior level, and has developed a reputation for resolving complex commercial issues in an efficient manner. This has included setting and delivering Commercial Strategies, managing teams, client relations and Dispute Avoidance and Mitigation.

Since 2010, Hamish has become more involved with supporting the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and APC Candidates as they progress through the APC process, and currently acts as an APC Assessor and APC Chair in the Final interview process.
